Iron Cooker newsletter 3-18-2012
We are a little behind in our newsletter because we have been making changes here at iron Cooker. We have added several new products to our store inventory in the past few weeks that many customers have asked for in the past. We have added some new lightweight backpacking cookware to our store for campers that like getting off the main trail. Our backpacker’s stainless steel cook set priced at $18.50 is both lightweight & easy to stack together & carry along with your backpacking gear. Also we have some new blue enamel coated steel plates, cups & coffee percolator for campers. It is very near time for homemade ice cream & we have an old fashioned looking ice cream maker that can either be used with hand crank or electric motor. You can have great tasting homemade ice cream just like your grandparents made years ago. We only have 40 of our farm all cast iron tractor seat stools left in stock & these are going fast. We do have two other seats that are selling well also, one is a reproduction farm all tractor seat & Minneapolis Moline tractor seat that a lot of customers are using to make their own projects. For all of you that are new to our newsletter; at closing we post a new recipe that we have or one that one of our readers have sent in to us.
CHICKEN WINGS WITH THAI SWEET AND HOT CHILI GLAZE
1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hot chili-garlic sauce, such as sriracha
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
16 chicken wings, wing tips removed
fresh ground black pepper
Make the glaze, in a small bowl, whisk the sauces, sesame oil and ginger together.
Trim excess skin from the edges of the wings. Lightly brush or spray with the oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Grill the chicken wings over Direct Medium heat until the skin begins to crisp, about 10 minutes, turning once or twice.
Brush the wings with the glaze and continue to grill until the meat is no longer pink at the bone, 8 to 10 minutes, turning and brushing with the glaze 2 or 3 times.
