Antique steam tractors Throughout this year, we have made several new friends from all over the country and renewed old acquaintances at various shows that we have attended. It is as much fun for us to see all of you as it is for you to come to the shows. There are so many good memories from this past year that it’s impossible to mention them all but there are a few that really stand out. We had a great time at The National Thresher Show in Wauseon, Ohio and the Adrian Farm Show is high on the list. And we can’t leave out the Old Engine Show in Buckley, MI.

There are great people running these shows and each has something that makes it special. We enjoyed watching the Boy Scouts in Adrian showing off their skills with the Dutch Ovens and cast iron skillets. There are so many activities for children and adults and a wonderful potluck dinner for all! The show in Wauseon is one not to be missed. Everything from steam engines to old tractors and antique cars, as well as old lawn mowers and hit and miss engines is there to be seen and heard and don’t forget the “Spark Show” every eveningSpark Show at dusk. Of course, our hometown show is the Old Engine Show in Buckley with it’s working sawmill and antique locomotive, it’s one you won’t want to miss. You know Iron Cooker will be there with all our products on display.This show is really close to home for us and we hope to see you there next year.

Blueberry Peach CobblerWe will leave you with a peach blueberry cobbler recipe.
Ingredients
Two 16-ounce cans sliced peaches in heavy or light syrup
,1 pint fresh blueberries,
1/2c.Bisquick baking mix ,
1/3 c.sugar,ground cinnamon
Topping 21/4c.Bisquick,1/4c.sugar, 1/2 stick butter, 1/2c.milk,cinnamon sugar1/4c.sugarw/2tp ground cinnamon
Equipment
dutch-oven w/ lid ,can-opener,resealable plastic bag
Instructions
1.Spray w/oil
2. Drain 1 can of the peaches.Combine both cans of peaches,including the juice from the undrained can,the blueberries,if using,the Bisquick,sugar,and a sprinkling of cinnamon.place this mixture into Dutch Oven
3. to make the topping Combine both Bisquick , sugar , butter,and milk in bag.Drop bits of dough,using your fingers,on peaches.sprinkle w/ cinnamon & sugar.
4.place oven over on fire about 12 coals cover w/ lid ,and place 12 coals on top .Check in 10 mins.;if the dough is brown,there are too many coals on top .If it’s not brown at all ,add a few coals .
The Cobber usually cooks in 30 mins
